Dr. Palmer has spent the majority of her career as a professional singer and university faculty member. With over 25 years serving in various aspects of higher education, she has an uncanny knack for creating a safe and authentic space for students to learn and grow.

Anne's work is guided by her extensive knowledge of how the arts significantly contribute to health and wellbeing. As a bilateral cochlear implant recipient, she underwent the process of retraining her brain to accurately perceive music. Through her profound hearing loss experience, she has channeled her distinctive ability to connect with people into creating programs that foster both personal and professional development. She is a Certified Leadership Coach and regularly facilitates workshops and summits throughout the United States.

Anne is also the Director of Audience Development Practice at ArtsKC, Regional Arts Council. There, she works closely with arts and community organizations to build programs that engage and expand new, diverse audiences. Her work is rooted in the belief that the arts should be inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to all.

As a performer and keynote speaker, Anne is able to captivate any audience with her warmth, candor, and authenticity. She possesses the rare ability to meet an audience where they're at, draw them in, and take them on an engaging journey.
